Objectives

Successful organizations need clear, ambitious and achievable objectives to ensure they are on the right track. Ambition is necessary to push the organization to be the best it can be, but if objectives are too ambitious and unachievable, the organization is set up to fail. On the other hand, if objectives are achievable and clear, but unambitious, the organization will likely be an average performer.

Nurses play an important role in protecting, promoting and developing the professional code of conduct, rights and interests of all nurses in the country. Their ultimate goal is to raise the health status of the people and undertake various activities necessary to provide basic health services throughout the country. They strive to strengthen the nursing service by upgrading its standards through continuous education. They are dedicated to developing and extending a scientific nursing system and facilitating and conducting relevant nursing research. Additionally, they aim to establish nursing standards for the scope of practice and safe care delivery, ensuring that the care provided is of the highest quality.

In order to achieve the objectives mentioned above, the Nursing Association of Nepal (NAN) will undertake various strategic activities. These include making efforts to make the nursing service more effective, efficient, humanitarian, and prestigious. NAN will also engage in various creative activities that are essential for protecting, promoting, and developing professional rights and interests. The organization will establish coordination with other national and international professional organizations, including those related to the nursing profession, to exchange ideas with one another. Additionally, NAN will extend cooperation to provide preventive, primitive, curative, and restorative health services in a simple, accessible, and organized manner. The organization will remain effortful to make all health-related programs successful, which are intended to strengthen the existing health services of the country and operate under the assistance of various national and international organizations. NAN will create general awareness on health through publications of health-related booklets, pamphlets, bulletins, other information materials, and exhibitions. The organization will accept or receive fees, advertisements, gifts, grants, etc. in cash or kind as required and available without having any kind of adverse impact on the objectives of the association.
